More than 1 in 4 of us are facing hunger.
Help take care of Canada.
Households across Canada were already fighting to keep their heads above water. Now, we’re facing a whole new storm surge of financial stress and uncertainty. More than 1 in 4 of us are struggling to feed our families, and food banks are buckling under the strain. We need to pull together to get our neighbours through this.
We can’t leave anyone behind.
YOUR SUPPORT HAS NEVER MATTERED MORE.
Children, families, and seniors are already relying on Canada’s food banks nearly 2.2 million times a month*. As the cost of food rises yet again, and families face potential job losses and layoffs, the demand continues to rise.
HOUSEHOLDS ACROSS CANADA ARE HURTING.
FOOD BANKS ARE THEIR LIFELINE — BUT IT IS CLOSE TO BREAKING.
Nearly 23%*
of food banks reported running out of food before demand was met.
Food bank visits have
doubled
in six years.*
Nearly 2.2M
visits to Canada’s food banks in March 2025 – the highest number in history.**
THIS SPRING, WE NEED TO TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER.
Here’s what your support today will do:
Get Nutritious Food to Families
Your support helps Food Banks Canada source more nutritious food at the best possible price and quickly get it to food bank partners across the country—filling their shelves as demand soars.

Help Food Banks Meet the Growing Need
Food Banks Canada grants provide the tools food banks need—from freezers to refrigerated trucks to expanded warehouse space—so they can best serve their communities.

Help Overcome the Root Causes of Hunger
Your support helps us drive for real, lasting change, advocating for long-term policy solutions to overcome the root causes of hunger in Canada.

“At the food bank they said, ‘Can we take this load off you, so you can focus on those other things?’ And it literally saved our lives. All of us are thriving right now. Because when we needed it most, that support was there”
