This spring, help us feed more families than ever before

It’s time for the  Loblaw Companies Ltd. annual Spring Food Drive to Feed More Families across Canada. From March 13th to April 2nd, 2025, you can support by donating non-perishable food items in-store or by making a monetary donation at checkout. With over two million visits to food banks this month, the need to donate food and funds is more critical than ever.

Since 2009, Loblaw and Food Banks Canada have teamed up for the Spring & Holiday Loblaw Companies Ltd. Feed More Families™ Food Drive , donating millions of pounds of food, with more than 3 million collected in 2024 alone.

“The need for food banks has nearly doubled in only five years, and according to Statistics Canada, 23% of people in Canada worry they may need food from a community organization during the next six months; the need is more critical than ever,” shared Kirstin Beardsley Chief Executive Officer, Food Banks Canada. “Thank you, Loblaw, to you and your customers for your support and stepping forward for 15 years of food drives that help communities across Canada. With food bank usage at its highest in Canadian history, your support is more important than ever.”

Every donation helps support local food banks across Canada:

One hundred percent of food and cash donations collected by stores will be directed to local food banks, Loblaw will match the first $100,000 of cash gifts collected through this year’s Spring campaign.

“At the Regina Food Bank, Loblaw Companies Ltd. Feed More Families™ Spring and Holiday Food Drive has made an immense impact on our community. Thanks to the generosity of our local stores and their customers, we’ve provided essential food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity. From fresh produce to holiday meals, this initiative ensures that no family goes without nourishment during times of celebration or struggle,” shared John Bailey, Chief Executive Officer, Regina Food Bank.

Some of the most requested items from food banks are:

  • Whole grain foods: including oatmeal, barley, high-fibre cereals or whole-grain pasta
  • Lean proteins: canned fish and meat, plant proteins including peanut butter, beans and lentils
  • Canned fruit and vegetables
