Partner Awards 2024

2024 Partner Awards

Food Banks Canada’s annual Partner Awards honours the very best in product, services in-kind, and funding partnerships that contribute to our overall mission of relieving hunger today and preventing hunger tomorrow.

Kraft Heinz

Product Partner of the Year

Kraft Heinz Canada donates almost 2 million pounds of nutritious food to the food bank network annually that is delivered at regular intervals throughout the year, which means that food banks can rely on a consistent contribution of nutritious, specific food items to serve their community members in need.

Lineage Logistics

Services In-Kind Partner of the Year

Lineage plays a vital role in the food supply chain by providing temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics solutions. They are dedicated to the fight against food insecurity and have an ongoing partnership with Food Banks Canada, providing the storage we need to preserve and keep food safe before it gets to the people who need it most. In collaboration with their food partners, they also donate excess food, further adding to their valuable contribution.

Walmart Canada

Funding Partner of the Year

Walmart Canada teams up with Food Banks Canada every year for the Fight Hunger. Spark Change campaign, running in stores and online. Since 2017, this campaign has helped provide over 100 million meals to people in need through food banks all over Canada. Each year, Walmart Canada’s Fight Hunger. Spark Change campaign makes a real difference by helping food banks make sure our most vulnerable populations have access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food.

The Rossy Foundation

Foundation Partner of the Year

Our research shows that despite growing demand for food banks across Canada, millions of people who need support face barriers to access due to incompatible hours of operation, a lack of transportation, or even stigma and shame. With support from The Rossy Foundation, we’re helping to break barriers and increase access for all by granting funding to food banks from coast to coast to coast. These grants, including our Access, Capacity Building, Northern Capacity Building and Standards of Excellence Grants, will be used to expand and upgrade food bank services to reach each and every single person who needs their help.

7-Eleven Canada Inc.

Growth Partner of the Year

7-Eleven has been a dedicated partner since 2013. Communities across the country look forward to 7-Eleven’s annual Slurpee Name Your Price Day where customers can pay any amount for a large Slurpee, with all proceeds supporting Food Banks Canada. This past year, 7-Eleven elevated their support with a Round Up program built into their point-of-sale system, where customers are encouraged to join our mission to relieve food insecurity by making a donation. This has significantly increased donations and we appreciate 7-Eleven’s efforts to collaborate with their vendor partners to join in their support and expand our partnership year over year to make an even greater impact.

Maple Lodge Farms

New Partner of the Year

Food Banks Canada was proud to be the primary beneficiary of the Maple Lodge Farms’ Tournament of Dreams in 2024. In addition to donating $200,000 in proceeds in our first year of partnership, Maple Lodge Farms has expanded their support by donating their chicken product. These quality protein products are incredibly valuable to food banks. Maple Lodge Farms has been an enthusiastic and flexible partner, open to exploring new partnership ideas to step up for our communities. We look forward to our continued partnership and the incredible impact we will make together.
