FOOD BANKS AND FAMILIES NEED YOUR HELP

Your gift makes an impact helping local
communities meet record-breaking demand.

WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER NOW.

When you renew your support today, you direct your gift to helping food banks build capacity to meet the rising need, investing in distributing food throughout Canada’s food bank network equitably, safely and efficiently, ensuring that families have the food they need to thrive.

HELP INCREASE FOOD SUPPLY

Your support helps keep Canada’s food banks well-stocked by acquiring, transforming, and distributing food. You make it possible to strengthen the national food supply, lower costs for local food banks, support communities during emergencies, and ensure children get nutritious food when school programs aren’t available.

HELP MAKE FOOD, SUPPLIES AND SERVICES EASIER TO ACCESS

Your support helps Food Banks Canada use the combined buying power of more than 5,500 food banks and community organizations to get lower prices on food. This means food banks can stretch their resources further and serve more people effectively.

HELP STAGE EMERGENCY FOOD PACKS

Your support helps us provide food and resources to food banks within communities affected or displaced by disasters and emergencies. It also empowers food bankers to keep their communities nourished during a time of disaster.

Help families start the new year with hope, not hunger.

WHY FOOD BANKS CANADA?

Food Banks Canada is the leader in addressing food insecurity in Canada. Our mission is to provide national leadership to relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow in collaboration with the food bank network from coast to coast to coast. For over 40 years, food banks have been dedicated to helping people living in Canada living with food insecurity. Over 5,500 food banks and community organizations come together to serve our most vulnerable neighbours, who – this year – made close to 2.2 million visits to these organizations in one month alone, according to our Hunger Count report. Since 2010, Food Banks Canada has shared over $1 billion in food supports and over $275 million in funding to help maximize collective impact and strengthen local capacity – while, backed by leading research, advocating for meaningful actions from governments to counter hunger and its root causes.
