National Conference 2017

Subsidies are still available!
Below are the eligibility requirements for travel subsidies:

-Be a provincial association or affiliate food bank
-Have an annual budget of less than $500,000
-Incur more than $500 in travel expenses to attend the conference

Deadline to apply is June 30th, 2017.

Join us from June 19-22 in Calgary Alberta as we unite as a network. The theme for our conference is “Taking the Reins: Ideas to Action.”

Monday June 19
1:00 pm – 6:00 pm   Saddle up to the registration table to pick up your registration package
5:00 pm – 8:00 pm   Chinook Welcome BBQ: Hosted by Calgary Food Bank
Tuesday June 20
9:00 am – 9:15 am  Conference Opening and Welcome
9:15 am – 10:30 am  Plenary Session: FoodX Talks: Sit back for this dynamic session to hear from a number of thought leaders across the food banking community as they share their ideas about innovation in food banking
10:30 am – 11:00 am  Fuel Station: Break and Networking
11:00 am – 12:15 pm  Idea Café Roundtable – An opportunity to discuss Food Banks Canada's new strategic plan
12:15 pm – 12:45 pm  Grab your box lunch as you get ready for your choice of an afternoon activity on or offsite
12:45 pm – 4:30 pm Hitting the Trail: Delegates will hop on a bus or get comfortable at the hotel to participate in one of a host of local learning or fun activities
4:30 pm onwards  Delegates have the evening free to gather with old and new friends at local dining spots

5:30 pm – 9:30 pm  Get your best western gear on for this fun and casual special evening where we celebrate food banks and kick up our heels with dinner and some western-style dancing (lessons included)
Thursday June 22
8:00 am – 9:00 am  Looking Forward: Food Banks Canada AGM and Update
9:00 am – 10:15 am  Ideas to Action Workshops and Roundtables
10:15 am – 10:45 am  Fuel Station – Break and Networking
10:45 am – 12:00 pm  Closing Plenary: get ready to put some ideas into action as we get delegates to participate in this Innovation Creativity session
